Michael Sabina rushed for three touchdowns and passed for two others tonight for the Cimarron-Memorial football team in a 57-36 win over Sunrise Mountain.

Sabina hooked up with Nacere Feltus and Andrew Overland for scoring strokes, while Melachi Wright-White had a 45-yard fumble return for a score, an interception and three sacks.

Cimarron won four of its last five games — including three straight — to qualify as the No. 2 seed in next week’s playoffs. They host Spring Valley, who earlier in the season beat them by 20 points.

“(The winning streak) is great for the program,” Cimarron-Memorial coach Shane Kanie said. “We haven’t finished that high in league since I played here (in the late 2010s).”

CJ Mendiola also scored on a fumble recovery for Cimarron.
