Tanner Aitken and Hayden Hartner each had an interception return for a touchdown tonight for the Arbor View football team in a 59-0 playoff win over visiting Green Valley.

Zurich Ashford returned a fumble for a touchdown for the Aggies, who advance to face Liberty in the second round next week.

“It was a pretty dominant performance set up by our defense,” Arbor View coach Matt Gerber said. “As they go, we go.”

Michael Kearns completed 8 of 10 passes for 151 yards and three touchdowns, and Sam Muhigirwa had a rushing score.

Amari Derby had two receiving touchdowns, and Jayden Williams and Mikey Vazquez also caught scoring strikes.

The challenge will be continuing the good play next week against Liberty — the team that knocked Arbor View out of the playoffs last season.

“We have wanted this game since we lost to them at the end of last year,” Gerber said. “It is going to be awesome. We were hoping to meet them again.”
