The Basic High football team could not have asked for a better start to the season, beating host Chaparral 57-0 tonight for a fourth straight win.
The Wolves have been dominant in outscoring the opposition, 143-16.
“It’s good to be undefeated, but the next three games will be challenging,” coach Jeff Cahill said of a schedule that includes Spring Valley (3-1), Las Vegas (2-1) and Green Valley of class 5A.
Marcellus Moore and Zuri Whiters each had two touchdowns in the win, and Houston McCarty and Brandon Griffin rushed for scores. Joseph Garza passed for three scores and quarterback Anthony Vega also accounted for a touchdown.
