Myjuan Brown’s touchdown run in the fourth quarter helped the Desert Oasis football team hold off Chaparral, 35-21.

Desert Oasis led 28-7 at halftime, but surrendered touchdowns in the third and fourth quarters, cutting their lead to seven points. That’s when “we went right down the field to punch it in and ice the game,” Desert Oasis coach Brant Smith said.

Brandon Lussier had four touchdown passes for the Diamondbacks, hooking up twice with Jayden Stovall and Keli’i Meiers.

“We didn’t get stopped by Chaparral; we stopped ourselves,” Smith said of a short missed field goal and penalties limiting them to only seven points in the second half.
