Moapa Valley limits opponent to negative yardage in shutout win

Landon Wrzesinski carried the ball seven times for 154 yards and two touchdowns tonight for the Moapa Valley football team in a 51-0 win over Valley.

Wrzesinski scored on runs of 10 and 67 yards, helping the defending 3A state champions win for the 22nd time dating back to 2020.

The Pirates accounted for 417 total yards, while limiting Valley to minus-8, according to stats from Moapa Valley. It led 27-0 after the first quarter.

Shandon Matheson completed 5 of 7 passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns, and Cyrus Katich also had a scoring strike.
