The Bishop Gorman High football team’s offense has been virtually unstoppable in the initial two games of the season.

The Gaels used a pair of touchdowns from Elija Lofton on Friday in a 60-15 victory against Long Beach Poly at Nike Kickoff Classic in Beaverton, Ore., giving the Gaels 123 points in two games. Last week, they put up 63 points in scoring on 10 of 11 possessions against Corner Canyon of Utah.

Tonight, Gorman punted once and scored on every other possession.

"The guys are locked in," coach Brent Browner said of his offense. "The coaches have done of good job of getting them prepared."

Micah Alejado had a 10-yard scoring strike Friday to Lofton and a 6-yard touchdown to Audric Harris.

Micah Kaapana had a 6-yard rushing touchdown, Myles Norman had a pair of rushing scores, and Melvin Spicer IV scored on a quarterback keeper.

One week after giving up 42 points against Corner Canyon of Utah, Gorman’s defense certainly improved. Charles Correa recovered a fumble to highlight the effort on defense.
