It’s interesting that the “Garfield” comic strip gets top billing in some newspapers, or any billing at all.
This is the ongoing life story about a cat — and I like cats — who has taken on human traits, both physically and mentally. But is Garfield setting a good example for the large audience of all ages who read this comic strip?
This cat is lazy, gets no exercise and eats junk food. He also displays a bad attitude and even kicks around poor Odie (the dog).
If you follow Garfield’s lifestyle, you will be looking at numerous and serious health problems.
Maybe a story about a cat who isn’t lazy, exercises and eats healthy would make for good reading. And a good attitude would be warmly welcomed as well.
