The Legacy football team showed no rust from having a bye in the first round of the playoffs last week, scoring five first-half touchdowns Friday in a 45-0 blowout victory against visiting Clark.
“There’s always the fear of coming out sluggish, but we came out ready to go from the start,” Longhorns coach Zach Monticelli said.
Aidan Crawford passed for three touchdowns, hooking up with De’Qua Simon, Dominic Oliver and Airamis Craven for touchdowns. Craven had 150 yards of total offense, Phoenix Jennings had a touchdown run, and Caden Bridgewater and Darren Bowen had interception returns for a touchdown.
Legacy advances to face Palo Verde next week in the Class 5A-Division III league championship game.
