An unhoused man was killed in a stabbing Wednesday north of the Las Vegas Strip, according to a Metro Police news release.
Officers found an unresponsive man suffering from an apparent stab wound near a sidewalk in the 800 block of Searles Avenue at about 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, the release stated. Medical personnel declared the man dead at the scene.
Detectives identified Lazaro Hernandez, 30, as the suspect in the case. On Thursday, he was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder involving a deadly weapon, the release stated.
