Tyrese Smith had a pair of touchdown passes to Jayden Robertson tonight for the Liberty football team in a 41-7 victory against Cathedral Catholic of California.

Smith also rushed for a 30-yard score.

Robertson’s scoring receptions were 60 and 15 yards, and Giovanni Criss added a 60-yard touchdown reception from Elijah Espinoza. Isaiah Lauofo had two rushing touchdowns.

“At times, we played really great,” coach Rich Muraco said. “At times, we shot ourselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties.”

Twice, Liberty fumbled at the goal line going in for a score.

“But, overall you can’t complain about a 41-7 win,” Muraco said.
