Shandon Matheson had three touchdown runs and more than 100 rushing yards tonight for the Moapa Valley football team in a 42-9 win against host Boulder City.
One week after a lopsided defeat at home to SLAM Nevada, the perennial power Pirates were back to their dominating ways.
“It’s a good confidence boost,” Moapa Valley coach Brent Lewis said. “We wanted to let everyone know that Moapa Valley isn’t dead; we’re still alive.”
Tyson Redd rushed for a score and Davis Kohntopp had a touchdown reception.
“It was a good bounce back game for us,” Lewis said.
