Las Vegas police: Woman critically injured in two-vehicle crash

A woman was critically injured today in a two-vehicle crash on Sahara Avenue near Nellis Boulevard, according to Metro Police.

The crash was reported about 7:45 a.m. today east of Lamont Street, police said.

A car was making a left turn onto Sahara from a private drive when it collided with a minivan that was headed east, police said.

The driver of the car, a 35-year-old Las Vegas woman, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 25-year-old Las Vegas man, suffered minor injuries, police said. He remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
