A man was killed in a shooting this morning after an apparent altercation, according to a Metro Police news release.
Officers responded to a areport of a shooting in the 1400 block of Helen Belle Drive at about 12:13 a.m., police stated.
Responders found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside a residence. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
The victim was apparently involved in a physical confrontation with several others before being shot. All suspects fled the area prior to officers’ arrival, police stated.
