A pedestrian was critically injured when he was hit by an SUV while running across a street, according to Metro Police.
The incident happened about 8:40 p.m. Sunday on Paradise Road, north of Harmon Avenue, police said.
The SUV was exiting a private drive and attempting to head south when the pedestrian ran from the west sidewalk into the street, police said.
The pedestrian, a 64-year-old Las Vegas man, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver of the SUV, a 44-year-old Las Vegas man, and two passengers were not injured, police said.
The incident remains under investigation, police said.
