Police: Sharron Angle supporter cited for pepper spray incident outside Harry Reid rally

Wed, Oct 13, 2010 (11:28 a.m.)

Two people were cited for disorderly conduct outside Valley High School on Tuesday night during President Bill Clinton's appearance at a rally for Senate Majority Harry Reid, Clark County School District Police said.

Lt. Ken Young said a man in costume supporting Reid's opponent, Republican Sharron Angle, allegedly dispensed pepper spray into a group of people outside the high school. An argument on the sidewalk ensued, and two people, including the Angle supporter, were cited for disorderly conduct, he said.

No one was injured in the incident, which happened shortly after 10 p.m., police said.

Last month, a fight broke out among audience members who attended a forum at Faith Lutheran Jr./Sr. High School that included Angle and taped responses from Reid.
