Why let the taxpayers pay to house them for two and five years respectfully? Deport them now and save us the tax dollars.

All I told him was that we made a mistake and instead of owing us he gets a refund. That's when he passed out!

How about checking the stores in the real Las Vegas & North Las Vegas? By the time you drive way out to the boondocks you wipe out the "savings" you get. My Food 4 Less is four blocks from my house and I can also get fuel there at 10 cents a gallon off of the regular price. I checked prices myself and the cost at the Bonanza & Pecos Food 4 Less was only $1.87 more that the WinCo out at the edge of town.. That's spending $1.87 more but saving a half hour drive each way and 3-4 gallons of gas.

Somebody was crying about the "poor victims of the Mob". Long time Vegas icon, Debbie Reynolds, said it best. When asked "why do you live here (in Vegas) - people get killed here. Debbie replied, "Yeah, but only those who need killing". Locals were safe back then. Sheriff Lamb and the Mob kept it that way. BTW, my Mother's ashes are scattered in Benny's (Bugsy's) Rose Garden at the Flamingo.

Las Vegas 1947 - 1980: Paradise
Las Vegas 1980 - 2012: Disneyland in the desert.
The Mob (what Mob?) kept our town clean. No panhandlers, street porn magazine distributors, prostitution was closely regulated, 15 year old kids weren't carrying autoloads, no drunk tourists in shorts, flip flops & T-shirts, the Casinos had class, and what's the difference in paying a 10% vig to Vinny the loan shark and 400% to the "Payday loan places?

Architect & Sunnyside up, et al: As a former officer (in the Midwest 30+ years ago) I can offer a little input. Weed grew wild along the RR tracks and vacant lots in Mpls. & St. Paul. The local stoners and bikers would harvest it and minded their own business. Back then the police concentrated on the real criminals - Robbery and holdup perps, burglars, Assault & Battery, ADW, the occasional murder, car theft rings, etc. For the most part the criminals had a little respect for the police and shootouts were rare. And back then we didn't have 15 year old kids with Tec 9s or Mac 10s and drive bys. As a PI (retired) here in Vegas for 16 years I think I've seen it all.(I started coming to Vegas in 1968, when the Mob kept the town clean and Vegas was really Vegas, not Disneyland In The Desert). I still know many of the Metro officers and asked why they would bust the street girls on Freemont, roust a kid tokin' on a blunt or hassle the homeless guy sleeping at a bus stop and ignore the crack dealers across the street or disregard verifiable tips on the Coke and H dealers locations and routes. The most prevalent answer - "That hooker, or homeless guy or stoner won't be carrying a Glock, HK or a sawed off 12 gauge.". And one last thing - all the people that are crying about the shootings Metro officers have been involved lately (all which were proven justified) Walk a mile in a Metro Officer's shoes. Try being on the job for a week, or even a day. You'll have a whole different outlook and a lot more understanding about Metro.
