Brewer's Take: When Stanback is on his game, so is the UNLV basketball team. During a stretch earlier this season, he connected on 21-of-29 of his 3-pointers over a three game stretch in showing his ability to take the game over. And, there was the big shot to force overtime at UC Santa Barbara and a solid performance in the win against North Carolina. While an injured knee has hindered his performances later in the season, Stanback is still one of the program’s top 20 scorers of all-time and has the capability to put the team on his back and lead them on a NCAA Tournament run.
