UFC213 women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes holds her belt as fighters meet with the media at the T-Mobile Arena on Thursday, July 6, 2017.

Sat, May 12, 2018 (2 a.m.)

Amanda Nunes’ UFC women’s bantamweight championship reign has consisted entirely of upset victories, as she’s come into each of her three title fights as an underdog.

The odds flip ahead of her attempted third title defense in the main event of UFC 224 tonight at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro. For the first time, Nunes is a favorite — and a big favorite at that.

Nunes enters as a minus-900 (risking $9 to win $1) favorite against Raquel Pennington, who comes back at plus-600 (risking $1 to win $6). Pennington has a pair of upset wins of her own during a four-fight winning streak that’s propelled her into the title fight.

The card’s lone championship bout is expected to commence at around 9:30 tonight to cap a pay-per-view portion that begins at 7 p.m. following preliminaries on Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
