bimmerdude,
Thank you for your service to our country.
And you are right, most of the posters here need to go to some third world countries and see that America is headed in that direction in a hurry. We are quickly becoming a country of have's and have not's, which makes one a third world country.

Went to a Winco in Reno with my daughter.
Absolutely hated it.
I didn't see any real savings in the prices (unless you bought the large, giant, economy size and even then, not much savings).
Other reasons I didn't like the place, but those could just be personal prejudices.

A caucus is cheaper than a primary.
"Everything must be done as cheaply as possible."
Isn't that the mantra?

Went in to buy kolaches. Left without purchasing anything, as those are not kolaches.

Did the crosswalk have a flashing light? I think all crosswalks should have a flashing light when pedestrians are crossing. It really helps when you are driving to see the crosswalk. Sometimes those little signs on the side of the road are not seen due to a lot of reasons. Flashing lights at each and every crosswalk may help to stop tragedies like this from happening. Will pray for healing, including for the 78 year old that caused the accident.

Oh, and turn Neonopolis into one big parking garage. It might even improve it's (the buildings) apprearance.

If you want people to come to downtown, get rid of charging people for parking!

The use of e-verify and the punishment of companies (big and small) that hire illegal immigrants would mostly solve the problem. Corporations/businesses are going to use cheap labor to maximize their profits if they can get away with it.
Then you need to convince your neighbor that it is better to hire "Fred", than "Juan", even though they will have to pay more for whatever service it happens to be, or perhaps they will have to just do it themselves [Does anyone remember when only the wealthy had people that mowed their lawns, cleaned their pools (if you could afford one), or cleaned their homes?]
The problem is, we as Americans have demanded "CHEAP". Cheap housing, cheap appliances, cheap household help, cheap clothing, cheap shoes, cheap electronics, cheap food, etc, etc, etc.
Why is everything now made in China, for example (I could go on, but there isn't enough room to list all the third world countries here). Because we want everything, we want it now, and we want it cheap.
Perhaps we need to all look in the mirror and take a long hard look.

As a Registered Nurse, I used many a multi-dose vial in my career. If proper procedures are used (only use a syringe once and properly clean the top of the vial before using said syringe), you can use a multi-dose vial on a thousand different patients and no one will get anything.
I agree, most drug companies are profit driven, their stockholders demand it of them. Isn't that what a free market system is for, and we wouldn't want to place any restrictions on them to prevent them from maximizing their profits, now, would we?
But, the drug companies should not be fleeced because of the greed of a group of doctors violating every medical practice standard in the United States.
I do believe these cases will be overturned on appeal, and they will be appealed. Guess who gets to pay for all the lawyers?
