Located on the banks of the Colorado River, Laughlin is a popular destination for boaters and water-sport enthusiasts. Each year, thousands of visitors hit the shores to launch boats, ride the waves on skis and other personal watercraft, take a tube float or kayak trip, and do some good old-fashioned fishing. All of the Laughlin resort properties conveniently offer personal watercraft rentals. There are also several daily river tours and charter packages available with the Del Rio Yacht, Celebration River Boat, Fiesta Queen River Boat, USS Riverside, London Bridge Jet Boats, River Jetz Tours and Capt. Doyle’s River Excursions. The river can also be enjoyed by taking a leisurely stroll along Laughlin’s River Walk which extends from the Riverside Resort to the River Palms. Catch glimpses of the many fish, waterfowl and animals that make their home along this part of the river.

On land, ride along in two- or four-seat sand rail vehicles over spectacular desert terrain with Laughlin Adventure Tours. View Indian petroglyphs at nearby Christmas Tree Pass and Grapevine Canyon. These pristine sites, which are part of the Lake Mead Recreation area and only minutes from Laughlin’s casino row, are ideal for hiking, photography and exploring. For a trip back to the Old West, visit Oatman, Arizona, a once-thriving mining community. Located on historic Route 66, this picturesque town features friendly wild burros and staged cowboy gunfights. . While in Oatman, visitors can also saddle up for a scenic Western trail ride with Oatman Stables. For more extensive day trips, schedule one of the many tours to visit Grand Canyon West and the famous Skywalk; the Grand Canyon Caverns; Keepers of the Wild, a nature park and exotic animal sanctuary; or the breathtaking and massive Hoover Dam.
